Reporting to the Chef, the Sous Chef is responsible for upholding all the Browns Socialhouse brand standards and expectations.
Ensure food delivery meets timing standards and provides outstanding food quality everyday
Maintain high food handling and safety standards
Develops with the Chef, the kitchen team by creating plans and reviews
Ordering all food products and supplies
To train and motivate quality focused employees
Responsible for the overall cleanliness and presentation of kitchen staff
Responsible for the effective implementation for all menus and features
Actively participate in key volume periods and lunch and dinner to guarantee quality and timing and conduct portion checks
Develops a strong relationship with the team and creating a great culture
Maintenance and organisation of coolers, freezers, and storage areas
Ensures health and safety and HACCP standards are being met
Understands labour control procedures and helps manage labour
1-2 years as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor in the restaurant industry
5 years plus of cumulative experience in the restaurant industry
Proven leadership and exceptional culinary skills
An entrepreneurial spirit
Record of maintaining high standards in food quality, guest satisfaction, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
Passion for the business and compassion for people
Energetic, self-motivated, goal oriented and dependable
Good communication skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
