Role Summary
Reporting to the Field Operations Manager of Snow Farms, the Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the coordination and execution of all field-related activities at Southlands. This includes supporting crop management programs, supervising field crews, operating and maintaining farm equipment, and ensuring compliance with food safety and organic certification standards.
This role offers a balance of hands-on agricultural work and administrative coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with the Snow Farms management team to gain practical knowledge of efficient, certified organic production practices while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations under Century Group’s employment framework.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with field equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Operate field machinery during soil preparation, planting, cultivation, and harvest.
• Work with and supervise field crews for planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
• Provide daily direction and resources to contract or seasonal labor, including materials, tools, and logistical support for harvest, weeding, and crop care.
• Transport harvested produce from fields to the packing house or storage facilities.
• Support crop management activities throughout the growing season to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records for food safety and organic certification programs using established templates and reporting systems.
• Assist with compiling and analyzing farm production data and help plan for subsequent growing seasons.
• Participate in the Southlands Farmers Market (June–December) by managing the Century Group table and engaging with the local community.
• Collaborate with Snow Farms and other farm staff to ensure compliance with established policies, good agricultural practices, worksite cleanliness, and safety procedures.
• Perform additional related duties as required during the off-season, which may include work at Snow Farm’s East Ladner production facilities.
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medium- to large-scale farming operation.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in agriculture or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate farm machinery and vehicles (manual transmission required).
• Class 5 driver’s license (or ability to obtain).
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and meet production deadlines.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written; Punjabi and/or Spanish are considered assets.
• Competence in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets etc.), and related documentation and communication tools.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible and extended hours during peak production periods.
