This is a contract service provider position that will support both Magnolia Gardens (Langley) and The Waterford (Tsawwassen).

Rate: $65-70 per hour

Hours: Up to 40 hours per month

Role Summary

We are seeking a part-time contracted dietitian to join our team! Providing services at two small Licensed Long Term Care Centres, and reporting to the Resident Care Manager, you will be providing clinical dietitian services for the residents, educating employees and working with the interdisciplinary team to develop personalized nutrition care plans. 

Key Accountabilities

• Assessing, planning and communicating with the team the nutritional care plan for the residents in the care centre.

• Supporting the Culinary Services Manager / Chef to ensure the provision

• of high quality, attractive, appropriate meals /snacks in accordance with Licensing requirements 

Direct, Resident Centered Services:

1. Assessment of residents’ nutritional needs and monitoring of their individual nutritional status.

2. Ensure the nutritional and therapeutic requirement of residents are met through meal planning and meal provision.

3. Provision of education to residents/families to support their optimum nutritional health and well being.

Indirect Services:

1. Work with the interdisciplinary team to develop effective care plans to meet residents’ nutritional goals.

2. Provide in-service and ongoing education to staff twice a year.

3. Continually evaluate and utilize best practice information/research to improve the quality of nutrition services.

4. Compile specified data for reports for performance indicators as requested by the Company.

Reporting:

1. Report directly to the Resident Care Manager for anything resident care related.

2. Report to the General Manager / Director for any administrative or financial Issues.

Education & Experience 

• Current registration with The College of Dietitians of BC

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Liability Insurance of $1,000,000 and /or WorkSafe Insurance

• Up to date Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector

• Completed confidentiality agreement

• Commitment to uphold the Values of Bria Communities

• Proof of required vaccinations
