I have been with Century Group for over 20 years and started my career as a server in Magnolia Gardens, one of our Bria residences. Over the years Century Group has supported my growth within the company, which has enabled me to take courses and work directly with a mentor to achieve my goals. I am now a Project Assistant in our construction team and am continuing my studies to meet my goal of being a Project Manager. We have a wonderful leadership team, and I love the supportive and collaborative culture we have at Century Group.
I have been with Century Group for five years, and in this time not only have I gotten to work with all our various businesses, but Century Group also supported me to complete The National Knowledge Exam (NKE), and my Experience Application to become a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).
The diversity of my work each day is different, and I love being able to collaborate with all our amazing employees and leaders. The comradery amongst teams makes each day really exciting, as well as the work hard and play hard attitude. We love a good team celebration, and in HR you really get to know everyone!
I joined Century Group as the Director of Facilities Management in 2019. With Century Group’s diverse portfolio of retirement homes, hotels, restaurants, rental and commercial properties, I enjoy the diversity and collaborations that exist every day. Century Group’s vision of incorporating food and farming into their development projects is a great differentiator in the market. Our lives revolve around food, and weaving that into a large-scale project like Southlands is impressive. I feel like I’m a part of something bigger, something meaningful.
The main thing that stands out to me in the over four years that I’ve been with Century Group, is the sense of community. As the Senior IS Partner, I support various properties and work with many teams. This sense of community is apparent when we work together, as we all help create and drive positive change for the company. I enjoy my work because I’m always learning new things and communicating with new people. It keeps me challenged like running and Peloton, which I like to do in my spare time.
Our construction division builds our development projects, driving a need for people like leaders, project managers, estimators, safety professionals, carpenters, labourers, and project coordinators.
Our two hotels and three restaurant venues require the services of servers, cooks, room attendants, maintenance teams, supervisors, guest experience managers, and leaders, among others.
Our real estate development and property management divisions hire for positions such as leaders, project managers, project coordinators, accountants, marketing and sales, employee service professionals, information systems, and admin staff.
Four independent seniors’ communities hire for positions such as care aides, nurses, supervisors, recreation teams, maintenance teams, cooks, servers, and admin staff.
